Eight years ago today Scott and I were married in the Salt Lake temple. That was the happiest day of my life. I was almost 24 and Scott was almost 25. We met in the singles ward about 9 months earlier and started dating 5 months earlier. We went on an RV trip to Durango Colorado with a group of kids from the Singles ward and that is where we started hanging out and liking eachother. Shortly after the trip Scott took me on a hike to the top of Lone Peak. The hiked ended up lasting 20 hours due to a lot of circumstances. I was pretty delirious by the end of the hike and Scott was practically carrying me down the mountain. After I agreed to go out with him again after that he knew it would be pretty hard to find someone who would be okay with his lifestyle and want to do the things he loves to do, especially after that hike. We dated three months and on December 5th, 2000 he proposed to me on a carriage ride in downtown Salt Lake. We were married two months later on February 9th, 2001. Scott is my rock. He is the love of my life and I still get butterflies when we touch. He is drop dead gorgeous and the sweetest guy I know. He is a wonderful father and a good provider. He loves me with all his heart and is totally devoted to me and our family. What more could a girl want. I feel so blessed to have him as my husband and best friend. Life would be nothing without his teasing and fun-loving spirit. I love you Scott. Life hasn't always been easy, but it has been worth it and I hope the next eight years are as wonderful as the past eight have been.
