Apparently running a marathon and then eating whatever you want and being lazy for three months is not a good idea. (Yucky tummy shot on me, but Jenn looks great!)
I did my first bike race on Saturday. It was in Spring City Utah and went through Mt. Pleasant, Moroni, Wales and Chester. I rode 4o miles, which is the longest I have ever ridden. Luckily about a mile into the race a girl named Jenn rode up behind me and asked if I wanted to ride with her and her husband. I was so grateful for someone to ride with. I would have missed the first turn if it hadn't been for them and went on the 67 mile course. I got teary eyed thinking about that and thanked my Heavenly Father for sending me biking friends. At about mile 30 Jenn's husband ditched us and we were on our own. At mile 35 we took a wrong turn and rode 5 miles uphill . We got to 40 miles when we realized we had gone the wrong way. On or way heading back I got stung by a bee and had to stop and get the bee out of my shirt and with Jenn's help stopped hypervenilating. At this point a car asked if we needed a ride and we opted to ride in a car back to the finish. After all, we had done our 40 miles and we were tired. Scott teases me that I didn't finish the race, but I say I did 40 miles and that counts as finishing to me.
